Our safe and secure nurseries

A report this morning on Good Morning Britain revealed an undercover reporter volunteering at a nursery. It exposed some serious safeguarding concerns, which has resulted in the nursery closing. This was not an Asquith nursery.

We would like to reassure our parents, that at Asquith Day Nurseries & Pre-Schools, we operate strict procedures and policies to ensure our children are not at risk. It is always disappointing and upsetting to see a childcare provision displaying poor practice and failing the children and families in their care.

We would like to reassure and remind parents of the pre-employment checks and recruitment processes we have in place. All our staff are subject to thorough referencing as well as an enhanced DBS check.

We rigorously follow a no ‘lone worker policy’ and we do not employ agency staff or take on volunteers so as not to compromise the rigorous recruitment procedures we have in place to protect our children and staff.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact our Customer Care Team on parents@asquithnurseries.co.uk or speak to your nursery manager.

Thank you.
