Once again I would like to commend the staff, especially Jenn and Val for helping Jack (and me!) with drop off. You listened to my concerns, helped think though some solutions and in a couple of days we have cracked it together. Thank you for taking my worries seriously and for looking after my son so incredibly well. He is very happy at nursery and is developing so well in your care - he even recited the alphabet to me recently, which at the age of 25 months is astonishing!
Warmest wishes and thank you.

Surbiton Day Nursery has always provided excellent care and have been extremely helpful and flexible when we have required extra days on an adhoc basis. Our daughter settled in quickly and the transition to other rooms was well managed and achieved without any tears. Our daughter will miss the staff and her friends when she leaves.

A little note to say a hugh thank you to all your staff for taking such fabulous care of India. Since India has started there has not been a day when I have worried or questioned the care of India whilst being at Surbiton Day Nursery and this is credit to you for running the nursery so well - we are sorry to be leaving and wish we could find another nursery as good as yours!

Many thanks for all your hard work and advice over the last 10 months. You made a 'first-time mother' feel relaxed and relieved knowing her daughter would be looked after and for this we are hugely grateful.

The staff have been fantastic. They have listened to my concerns regarding Jack's reflux and in particular the behavioural symptoms he displays when unwell with his reflux, his poor sleeping habits and difficulty with eating certain foods. I was worried that the staff would view Jack's behaviour as "temper tantrums" rather than his reaction to pain. However, I firmly believe that the staff have taken my comments on board and have also spent time watching and interacting with Jack to understand his behaviour and ways of communicating. He is generally a very happy, inquisitive and energetic boy, but when in pain he changes. Most importantly I believe the team treat Jack like an invidivual, taking on board his learning style, preferences and dislikes.

The environment is extremely stimulating, warm-hearted and with the right level of strucutre. There is so much to do and to explore. There are some activities like painting, planting seeds and making cards, along with a huge range of free play opportunities. In just two weeks Jack finally (after four months of finger walking!) developed the confidence to walk (and to run!) on his own. He has started to shake his head for "no" and is playing independently for longer periods of time. He has also been trying, and enjoying, a broader range of foods.

A settling-in programme was proposed which worked extremely well for Jack (and me) and I would like to extend a very special thank you to the staff concerned. For the first two and a half weeks Jack cried when I dropped him off. However, I was nowhere near as distressed by this as I thought I would be, mainly because I have complete confidence in the staff. Jack has not cried at the last two drop offs and in fact has leaned away from me with open arms to be cuddled by staff.

Leaving your child in the care of other people is such a huge step and decision but I feel I have fulfilled one of my many duties as a mummy by finding the perfect nursery for Jack. I thank wholeheartedly all the team in the Toddler room.

Thank you for accommodating our varied hours for Angela last week - we do appreciate it.

We also want to say thank you for the Open Day on Saturday. It was the first time we have managed to attend an Open Day and it was absolutely delightful. It was great to have the opportunity to look in more detail at the facilities available for the kids and the environment, which we think are fantastic.

We think that the building is great. It would be easy to compromise the character and charm of the old building and specifically the mature garden (which from day one was one of the very important aspects of Asquith for us) in order to meet regulations but it hasn't been compromised at all and it's all been done brilliantly.

It is so reassuring for us as parents to know Angela is happy and we do value the input from nursery staff in her development. She is very excited and happy to leave home on the mornings she attends nursery. Her interaction with all the ladies in her room is very positive.

Also, it was really useful to have a peak at the next room she'll be going to. We are aware that exposure to the older kids in nursery room will be good for her when the time comes.

So all in all, just a great big thank you.

Mia is very happy at Asquith. She is especially "in love" with her teacher. She can't wait to see her in the morning and gives her a big cuddle in the evening when we go home. I have also noticed that Mia's speech and language skills have radically improved since being there. There is always a happy atmosphere in the class when I arrive to pick her up and all Mia's things are always kept in a safe place. The class is also beautifully decorated with their art work. I can see that the staff at Asquith really make an effort with the children. Thanks to all of them.

My daughter Jessica has just moved in to pre-school at
the nursery having spent a very enjoyable year in the nursery
room. Jessica formed an attachment to the room leader to the extent that she named one of her dolls after her. The room leader has been fantastic at looking after her, despite
the many tantrums and stubbornness that comes with a two year old. In fact the whole of the nursery team have been great.
