Basildon Day Nursery is a purpose-built nursery located in the Festival Leisure Park within the David Lloyd Club. We have 85 places for children aged 3 months to 5 years old and 15 dedicated crèche places for David Lloyd Club members. We have six bright, spacious rooms decorated with colourful displays of children’s work. Our team of 14 experienced and qualified staff plan a wide variety of age-appropriate activities in which children can access freely following their individual interests.

Our Baby Unit is divided into two rooms. One room holds up to 9 babies while the other holds up to 6 babies. Both rooms are designed to have a homely environment, where we ensure our babies individual routines are met to the best of our ability.

Our Toddler, Nursery and Pre-School Rooms are fully equipped with age-appropriate toys and resources such as messy play, water and sand trays, book corner, and role play area. The rooms are designed to encourage children to select their own resources to play with, therefore enabling individualised learning.

Outside, there are two wonderful gardens both with safety surfaces and a range of outdoor play equipment including two climbing frames. There is also the opportunity to use some of the David Lloyd facilities allowing us to offer swimming and tennis lesson for children aged 3-5 years. We also have access to their indoor soft floor play area and dance studio.
