Richmond Day Nursery is a warm and welcoming, purpose built nursery sharing the grounds with Marshgate Primary School. The nursery was built in 2003 and has established and steadily built it’s reputation within the local community, delivering high quality care with a dedicated staff team who have a long service within Asquith. In November 2009 the nursery was awarded an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted.

The nursery is designed with 4 rooms allowing children of different age groups the environment and space to explore and develop safely and confidently. All rooms lead into our garden allowing activities and adventures to free flow from inside to outside throughout the day.

Our Baby Room is designed so that staff sit with the children on the floor at all times allowing for the children to feel safe and secure. The room has a black and white area for our young children and a separate sleep room. Daily activities in this room often involve natural object treasure baskets and heuristic play for our older babies.

Our Toddler Room really gives our mobile toddlers the environment to move about and explore, this large room in equipped with a slide and ground floor easel, encouraging movement and creativity from a young age.

Our Nursery Room is designed to support children in preparation for our Pre-School. The rooms are linked together through doorways and the garden so the children often see their older friends and want to follow in their foot steps. The highly trained staff encourage children to begin their toilet training in this room and have many tips on the best ways to support children.

Our Pre-School Room is our largest room and is set up to allow children to explore many different areas. The room is still homely but children have the opportunity to involve themselves with large block areas, IT and writing, maths, creative and our every changing role play area.

We also offer Wrap Around Care for the Key Stage 1 children from Marshgate School offering Breakfast, Lunch and After School Clubs.
