Diwali, also known as the festival of lights, is the biggest festival celebrated by Hindus, Sikhs and Buddhists around the world. While the story behind Diwali varies from region to region the festival is celebrated to remember that light triumphs over dark and good triumphs over evil.

Diwali is an exciting and colourful holiday. It creates the opportunity for so many art and craft activities with children.

The children and staff at Asquith Hatch End Pre-School and Day Nursery celebrated Diwali and had a Diwali party at the nursery. Parents were invited to celebrate with music, food and festive activities.
