Primary Purpose

To effectively manage strategic relationships with Bright Horizons’ clients in the UK.  The focus of this position is to enhance existing client relationships, negotiate improved terms, and cross-sell services, resulting in retention and growth of client accounts

Function/Responsibility

  • Proactively manage a portfolio of client accounts to maximise contract retention and loyalty
  • Renewing and negotiating client contracts, to optimise the company’s financial return and contract terms
  • Ensuring clients experience the maximum return on their investment and view Bright Horizons as their strategic partner for all family care, or work/ life related issues
  • Responding to client requests in an appropriate, professional and timely manner
  • Supporting operations in the development of new services for clients. Including budget development, developing presentations, contract negotiation proposals, marketing and general support
  • Keeping the wider Bright Horizons business informed of changes and developments as necessary, in a timely manner

Education/ Experience / Skills

  • Previous experience within a similar role - Direct Account or Client Relationship Management preferred
  • Educated to degree level, or equivalent (preferred)
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen
  • Ability to work well in a collaborative environment
  • Excellent communication, both verbal and written
  • Knowledge and ability to use confident and persuasive language, to suitably convey the full range of services we can offer

Function/Responsibility

We are looking for an experienced Facilities Manager, to join our Facilities team, on a full time basis. This role will be predominantly field based, with a portfolio of nurseries including North London and the Midlands. Occasional office visits to Rushden will be required.

Primary Purpose

Within this role, you will be required to ensure that all the Nurseries within your portfolio are safe, secure, well maintained and clean, by coordinating all facility relating activities effectively and efficiently.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, plan and action the day to day repairs & maintenance requests of all the nurseries within the BHFS portfolio with the chosen FM provider to ensure the Nursery’s safety and the Nursery Manager’s expectations are met
  • Coordinate the Statutory Inspections (and remedial works) for all plant and equipment within your nursery portfolio with the incumbent FM provider.
  • Project manage all capital refurbishments under your facilities region, including scoping of works, tendering of works, completion of the business case, appointing  the approved contractors,, managing the timelines and financial control to ensure the project is finished on time and within budget,
  • Visit the nurseries under your control on a regular basis to ensure
    • the NM have safe working environments
    • Identify any facilities issues within the Nursery.
    • Review the work carried out by our preferred Contractors for both quality and completeness
  • Ensure we get “best value for money” from all our contractors
  • Maintain adequate records for all capital works, repairs and maintenance and servicing including sufficient information for producing performance management information.
  • Assist with the development of suitable Repairs and Maintenance processes and procedures with the senior management team and documenting these systems.
  • Receive and manage to a satisfactory conclusion all complaints from colleagues and Nurseries alike

Recommended Education/ Experience / Skills

  • Ideally educated to degree (or equivalent) level in Facilities Management/ Engineering / or Project Management
  • Previous experience with managing both hard and soft facilities, preferably within a multisite portfolio.
  • Approachable individual with a professional manner, capable of representing the business to all external organisations
  • Methodical in approach to all tasks asked of them
  • An effective time manager with the ability to multi-task
  • Strong in building relationships and capable of communicating at all levels

FM Account Manager

Job Title: FM Account Manager

This role is full time, and can be based at either our Rushden or Chesham support offices.

Primary Purpose

To take operational ownership for the successful and effective administration of the principle FM Contract worth in excess of £4m/annum, ensuring all BHFS Nurseries have a high quality and cost efficient service delivery from our nominated Facilities Provider. 

Function/Responsibility

  • Filter all non-essential calls from the nurseries directing them either towards the FM for further investigation, through the FM help desk or advising the nurseries to add them onto their Monthly Maintenance Visits.
  • Manage the Contract Variation (CVA) Procedure with both the contractor and internal finance department to ensure we provision proficiently and reconcile against monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reporting requirements.
  • Analyse portal data to produce monthly reports on contract service level agreements, call count limits and primary KPI’s. Use the information to verify the monthly contractors report findings
  • Attend monthly contractor meetings, creating minutes and action plans for both BH and contractor stakeholders
  • Ensure that we have accurate, complete and up-to-date legislative compliance information at the nursery and saved on the contractor portal. Produce monthly reports on individual and overall portfolio performance to be presented at the Keeping Everyone Safe Management Board Meetings. Escalate non-compliances and missing information to the relevant Facilities Manager and/or the contractor account manager.
  • Be the first point of call for all Nursery complaints relating to contract performance
  • Analyse the contractor monthly finance report to establish capital items in line with the company capitalisation policy and work with the internal account team to ensure accurate P & L data is reported at nursery level. Work with the Finance team to ensure all capital items are recorded on the capital register.
  • Become the resident “expert” and owner of the supply contract. Understand the unique Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) principle, call out response KPI’s and in scope/out of scope services so we can advise our nurseries/operations teams and challenge back to the Contractor as and when necessary.
  • Reconcile contractor “Out of Scope” reporting/invoicing against the in-house Facilities Request Form (FRF) Register to ensure we are provisioning appropriately along with validating the invoice amounts.

Education/ Experience / Skills

  • Strong knowledge and experience of the principles of Facilities Management, both hard and soft services
  • Exceptional written an oral communication skills both internally and externally to the business. Capable of generating monthly performance reports and presenting to all levels throughout the organization.
  • Strong analytical skills, capable of analysing complex spreadsheets and producing executive data summaries for review and publication internally and externally
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, chiefly Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Experience of complex Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) for multisite facilities is desirable
  • Knowledge of accounting methodology desirable but not essential (P & L and Balance Sheet principles)

This role will be full time and predominantly based at our Rushden, Northamptonshire office. Regular travel to our Chesham office and Nurseries nationally, will be required.

Primary Purpose

To will lead a Recruitment Team (circa. 10) in order to market Bright Horizons Family Solutions as an “employer of choice”, delivering recruitment activity, overseeing the end-to-end delivery of all resourcing activities, measuring the impact of each attraction channel, making adjustments to improve outcomes where required.

Function/Responsibility

  • Support, supervise and coach Recruitment Team, supporting in the development and implementation of the team alongside the Head of Recruitment and Head of HR.
  • Collaborate with Regional Directors and Operational Directors on recruitment issues
  • Lead team to provide training for new Nursery Managers and Regional Directors on recruitment practices and systems
  • Ensure direct channels of recruitment, such as Talent Planning, Employee Referral Scheme, job boards and advertising, is maximised
  • Work in partnership with both various stakeholders, as well as the recruitment team, in developing creative candidate attraction campaigns, and providing innovating solutions to challenges in the marketplace
  • Drive and monitor recruitment process
  • Using the HRIS system, monitor and review company/ regional/ nursery specific application flow
  • Ensure adherence to the business’ safer recruitment policy and practices, across all resourcing and compliance activity

Education/ Experience / Skills

  • Previous experience within a similar role – in-house ideal, but not essential
  • Proven management and leadership experience of a large team (circa 10 people).
  • Customer focussed, excellent communicator with the ability to manage relationships at all levels
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure
  • Results orientated, and able to work to defined deadlines
  • Self- motivated, with excellent follow through skills in a fast paced environment
  • Sound understanding of best practice recruitment
  • Creativity – generating innovative recruitment ideas
  • Good problem solving skills, and negotiating ability
  • Good IT Skills – MS Office, databases, reporting

Primary Purpose

To deliver the best customer service experience, whilst leading and inspiring customer facing multi-disciplinary team and keeping in line with the company goals.

Function/Responsibility

  • Ensuring that all key accounting activities are performed to the highest possible standards in line with tight deadlines.
  • Continuous review of the accounts receivable processes and instigate positive change where required, working closely with the Accounts Receivables Manager.
  • Supervising, directing, and reviewing the work of the Regional Accounts Controller team, reviewing the debt collection activity, and the day to day running and support to our customers.
  • Contributing towards the improvement of accounting and customer service processes and procedures to ensure all transactions are processed in an accurate, timely and efficient manner.
  • Respond appropriately to issues requiring confidentiality
  • Maintaining accurate and effective records
  • Coaching/ mentoring other people, encouraging them to develop broader skills and provide development opportunities
  • Working to mitigate risks where possible, and maximise opportunities
  • Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with the Operations team, including Nursery Managers, Regional Directors, and Operations Directors.
  • Managing the business relationship with the Collections Agency, ensuring the speedy recovery of debts are facilitated. 
  • Authorising outgoing payments, mostly relating to parent refunds, when required
  • Any related ad hoc duties, as required

Education/ Experience / Skills

  • Qualified by experience is expected, while AAT part qualified (or equivalent) is desired.
  • Demonstrated experience of managing multi-disciplinary team.
  • Thorough approach with an eye for detail combined
  • Strong customer-orientation. Resourceful with strong networking skills. Proactive.
  • Experience of debt collection is preferred.
  • Shared services background advantageous.
  • Demonstrated strong knowledge of (Excel and Outlook).

This role is field based and therefore a full driving license is essential. There will be regular travel to our Nurseries based North of the M25 and the Midlands.

Primary Purpose

  • To support in the management of local marketing activity for a portfolio of nurseries, in partnership with the Operations Team.
  • To help Regional Directors optimise sales activity for a portfolio of nurseries, by delivery of sales coaching & training as required.
  • To devise and deliver monthly reports for the Regional (Ops) Directors and regular updates to the Marketing team.
  • To track and monitor local campaigns to prove effectiveness and ROI.
  • To partner closely with the Operations teams to ensure resource is correctly focused and meeting key business targets.

Function/Responsibility

  • Provide sales coaching to operations teams including Regional Directors & nursery managements teams (NMs, DMs & 3i/c).
  • Provide analysis of local & regional trends for sales pipeline & conversion from Enquiry through to Enrolment.
  • Research local areas, demographics, markets and customer to identify and plan marketing activity for the nursery and region.
  • Develop, implement and sustain local marketing plans/activity for each nursery across a range of media, including digital, PR and local opportunities including showcasing of best practice & individual coaching as appropriate.
  • Support your portfolio with the promotion of any national open events.
  • Briefing creative department in a planned and timely manner to ensure artwork is created, proofed and signed off prior to deadlines.
  • Complete regular competitor analysis to understand our price point and proposition and report in a timely manner to the Marketing team.
  • Represent the Field Sales & Marketing Team at meetings with the Operations Team and contribute to monthly reports for Senior Management team.
  • Provide analytical insights to support decisions with the marketing plan.

Education/ Experience / Skills

  • Marketing qualification preferred – degree or CIM Professional Diploma or higher.
  • Regional/multi-site sales management experience preferred.
  • Full driving license essential.
  • Experience in service marketing and regional marketing preferred.
  • Experience working in a geographically diverse company ideal.
