This 75-place children's nursery is based in a beautiful, Grade 2 listed country house along with a converted stable annex and brand new modular classroom building in the centre of Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire.
The day nursery has easy access to main roads as well as the local railway station. In addition, we are centrally located in the local catchment area for numerous outstanding primary and secondary schools.
The nursery is open for 52 weeks of the year and operates from 7.30am – 6.30pm, Monday to Friday. Our vibrant and fun nursery offers morning, afternoon and all day childcare sessions for children aged 3 months to 5 years of age.
In addition to the main building, the pre-school children at our Sawbridgeworth children's day nursery benefit from having their own dedicated annex to enable them to flourish and reach their full potential in readiness for school.
Food is provided by our fully trained, dedicated chef who prepares healthy nutritionally balanced meals and snacks using fresh locally sourced ingredients on a daily basis.
We are fortunate enough to have two gardens at the day nursery in Sawbridgeworth which enable a very wide range of fun activities to take place outside every day, allowing us to offer a broad outdoor age related curriculum.
Abundant parking is available in the Bell Street Car Park adjacent to the nursery and this ensures easy access. In addition, there is a designated buggy storage area to enable parents to drop off and collect their children from the nursery as smoothly as possible.

The generous sized rooms allow the children to have sufficient space to move about in and introduces the children to how learning can be fun and exciting, using their own interests to embed learning.
The children have access to the large outdoor garden that is shared with our pre- school room; this enables invaluable peer to peer learning and supports social interactions with children of different ages.
At this stage toilet training begins. The nursery room has its own bathroom to enable and support your child’s toileting needs.

Our pre-school room has been purposefully designed to ensure that all the children are well prepared for the transition to 'big school'. The learning orientated pre-school room is led by our experienced team who will develop the children’s knowledge to embed strong foundations they will need to fulfil their potential.

Katy Dorward - Nursery Manager
Katy began working with children in June 2004 and has experienced many roles since her journey began. She is a practical learner and developer and always strives to be a positive manager. She enjoys furthering her own abilities as well as those around her. Katy ensures that she spends time within the rooms to learn and understand the children within her care as well as welcoming the open door policy for parents and carers. In her spare time, Katy enjoys reading as well as keeping fit by swimming regularly.
Jaycie Denney - Assistant Manager
Jaycie holds a BA Honours in Early years and has attended a range of training including SEND training, child psychology and English as Additional Language which supports Jaycie in her specific duties within the nursery.
Jaycie has 8 years of experience working in nursery settings and has been assistant manager for over a year. She likes finding things that make a difference to children’s lives and loves celebrating children’s achievements with them.
Katie Howard - Third in Charge
Katie holds a CACHE diploma level 3 and has attended a range of training courses to support her career development. Katie has over 13 years experience in childcare, working with children from 3 months to 11 years old. Katie has worked at Sawbridgeworth Nursery for the last 8 years and has built strong relationships with both children and parents.
Katie has a one year old daughter of her own who attends the nursery. She enjoys watching the children grow and learn during their time at the nursery and loves seeing the children reach each of their goals.
